As most disruptions are weather event-related how important is it to get accurate and up-to-date weather forecasts?  The impact if you don't get them and what is done to ensure they are there for you.

It’s all about Communication! The challenges of communicating in a crisis.
As you set about resolving a crisis, how do you maintain effective communication?  What do we mean by communication?  Who do we need to communicate with?

Lisa Purchase, Department of Justice
Community Recovery – a personal account of recovery from the Queensland devastations.
Lisa will speak about her experiences as part of the Victorian Government Recovery contingent based in Cairns. 

Saul Midler from Linus will also speak briefly about the Draft International BC Standard ISO22301 Societal Security – Preparedness and Continuity Management Systems.

All three Guest Presenters, along with Saul Midler from Linus, will participate in a short panel session at the conclusion of the Seminar.
